DESCRIPTION:Dirt Girls – Special Ride Event – Mount Sima\n\n\nOn Wednesday September 2 the Dirt Girls will do a special downhill day at Mount Sima! \nThis ride is for Intermediate/Advanced riders – please note that there will be a Beginner Ride at Wolf Creek on Tuesday\, September 1 \n\nDetails:  Sima is open from 4:00pm to 9:00pm and you are welcome to hit up the trails starting at 4:00 if you are able! Dirt Girls will meet at 6:00 pm for some social laps. We will plan to ride for a couple hours\, as each run takes about 45 minutes to ride the lift up and then come down. The hill closes at 9:00pm but there is no obligation to stay the entire time. Bring snacks/water/gear for all weather\, however there are some beverages and snacks available for purchase at the venue. \nCost: You will be responsible for purchasing your lift ticket. Mt. Sima has generously offered Dirt Girls a $10 dollar discount on lift tickets. It is best to reserve your ticket in advance to guarantee your spot. To do this contact guestservices@mountsima.com and let them know you are part of the DG crew for the Sept 2 ride to get the discount price and otherwise you can ask for it day of at the ticket booth. \n\nGetting there: Dirt Girls will be responsible for getting themselves to Mount Sima\, if you are interested in car-pooling please go to the Dirt Girls Facebook Page to connect with other rad riders who can share a vehicle! \nThe Plan: There will be support leaders there to guide riders to appropriate trails for their skill levels\, and to ride as a group. Please note that all trails at Mt. All riders welcome! \nWe will ride a quick lap of Quiller/Blues Brothers/Sweet Dreams and then have a beverage at the lookout on grey mountain road. Advanced group may ride El Camino based on timing but the goal is to spend most of our time with helmets off\, reminiscing some of our favourite trails and highlights of the season. \nThis ride will be open to all skill levels as there will be a trail for everyone to enjoy. \nPlease meet at Magnusson Parking Lot at 6:15pm.

SUMMARY:Trail/Dig Day - Upper Boogaloo
DESCRIPTION:Upper Boogaloo\, a very well-ridden (and walked) classic of the “Boogaloo route”. If you fat bike on Grey Mountain\, you’ll know this is an all-season trail\, but it is not without struggle for groomers. Additionally\, there are a lot of exposed dead roots and parallel lines that have developed along the ridges. We’re going to rejuvenate this classic by removing dead roots\, covering live roots and benching out some sections to keep single track single and facilitate a better riding experience all year round. \nWe’ll meet at 9:00 am at the Magnusson parking lot and work until 2:30-3:00 pm. We’ll have drinks\, snacks and lunch\, but please bring extra water. Please feel free to join us for any amount of time you can. We’ll leave some extra tools out near the trailer for later arrivals. \nSturdy footwear and work gloves are essential\, and eye protection is recommended. \nOn Trail Days we build and maintain trails in the Whitehorse area. DESCRIPTION:We’re going to continue buffing the tread on Laugh Lines (Amanda Taylor Memorial Trail). Lots or progress has been made this year. The dirt in this area is great\, but there are some deep organics and big roots in this zone. The more people that come out\, the better the ride will be. Let’s try to get this great new addition to the network dialled before the snow flies. \nWe’ll meet at the Mount McIntyre ski chalet parking lot at 9 am to sort our tools and trucks. We’ll drive a couple of vehicles to the worksite with tools and gear\, we can drive some people\, but it is recommended to bring a bike and ride to the trail if you don’t want to be there for the whole work block. You can also meet us on trail anytime between about 9:30 am and 2:30 pm to lend a hand for whatever amount of time you can. Even an hour is helpful. \nDrinks and food will be provided\, but please bring extra water. \nSturdy footwear and work gloves are essential\, and eye protection is recommended. \nOn Trail Days\, we build and maintain trails in the Whitehorse area.
