DESCRIPTION:Dirt Girls – Special Ride Event – Mount Sima\n\n\nOn Wednesday August 13 Dirt Girls will do a special downhill day at Mount Sima! \nThis ride is for Intermediate/Advanced riders – please note that there will be a Beginner Ride at Mt. McIntyre on Tuesday\, August 12. \n\nDetails:  Please meet at Mount Sima\, ready to go for 6:00pm. We will plan to ride for a couple hours\, as each run takes about 45 minutes to ride the lift up and then come down. The hill closes at 9:00pm but there is no obligation to stay the entire time. Bring snacks/water/gear for all weather\, however there are some beverages and snacks available for purchase at the venue. \nCost: You will be responsible for purchasing your lift ticket – they are $40 and can either be purchased ahead of time on the Mount Sima website\, or in-person at the ticket window. \n\nGetting there: Dirt Girls will be responsible for getting themselves to Mount Sima\, if you are interested in car-pooling please go to the Dirt Girls Facebook Page to connect with other rad riders who can share a vehicle! \nThe Plan: There will be support leaders there to guide riders to appropriate trails for their skill levels\, and to ride as a group. Please note that all trails at Mt. DESCRIPTION:Dirt Girls – Special Ride Event \n\n\nSaturday\, August 2 we will have a shuttle day at Montana Mountain in Carcross. \n\nDetails:  Please meet at the parking lot of CARIBOO CROSSING COFFEE SHOP AT 11:00 AM. We will plan to ride about 3 hours and come back to Whitehorse for around 4:00. Bring snacks/water/gear for all weather and that length of time. \n\nGetting there: Dirt Girls will be responsible for getting themselves to Carcross\, if you are interested in car-pooling please go to the Dirt Girls Facebook Page to connect with other rad riders who can share a vehicle! \nThe Plan: Dirt Girls will split into 2 groups – a Beginner/Intermediate (BI) and an Intermediate/Advanced (IA). BI riders will hopefully do at least 2 laps of green and blue trails. IA riders will try to get 3 laps in of green/blue/black trails. \nThe Trails: There are green (easy/less technical) trails here but they are all single track and involve prolonged descents. If you are comfortable on blue trails here in town this ride will be in your wheelhouse. If this is your first time riding in Carcross and you are nervous about the skill required for these trails please contact the main organizer\, Mariah Witham at (867) 334 4462 and she would be happy to chat with you. \nFor more information on the trails\, check out the Montana Mountain website. \n\n\nWe need YOU to RSVP so that we know the numbers – there are 2 options:\n1. DESCRIPTION:For our fifth trail day we’ll be finishing off Ollie’s Trail. \nYou may have been enjoying Ollie’s Trail on your fat bike as we have been keeping it groomed this winter. Ollie’s trail is a gentle blue square rated trail that extends from the south end of RIPURT to the south side of Grey Mountain road\, adjacent to Magnusson parking lot\, giving you more single track loop options starting and ending at Magnusson parking lot. This trail is ideal for those who ride with dogs and kids and want to stay off Grey Mountain Road. We’ll meet at the RIP pullout (where RIP starts at Grey Mountain Road). Parking is limited\, please carpool or ride. \nBring gloves\, sturdy boots\, and water. Eyewear and protection is recommended. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. \nAs usual we’ll have a draw for prizes at the end of the day! \nFor more information\, see our Trail Days page.
