HUDSON LUCIER

Hudson is a proud born and raised Yukoner. During high school, he competed nationally in cross-country skiing while developing his coaching skills with Team Boréale. After graduating, Hudson pursued post-secondary studies at the Okanagan School of Business, returning to the Yukon during the first two summers to coach with Team Boréale.

In 2020, Hudson moved back to the Yukon full-time and began contributing to the cycling community. In 2021, he partnered with the Cycling Association of Yukon to establish the Yukon Mountain Biking Team while also taking on the role of President of the Contagious Mountain Bike Club (CMBC).

The following year, Hudson was named head coach for the Canada Summer Games Mountain Bike Team, becoming the youngest head coach at the Games in 2022. Hudson married his wife, Cambria, on the winter solstice that same year.

In 2023, Hudson coached the Yukon Mountain Bike Team in preparation for Yukon Bike Week and the XCM Nationals. He also showcased his personal racing talent, placing fourth overall at the Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay and earning the distinction of being the first Yukoner to cross the finish line. Additionally, Hudson competed at XCM Nationals as the first Yukoner at the elite level.

In 2024, Hudson expanded his coaching efforts with the Yukon Mountain Bike Team and celebrated the arrival of his daughter, Olive. Partnering with Icycle Sports, he introduced skills courses through CMBC to help beginners and those returning to the sport. Looking ahead, Hudson is excited to incorporate road biking into his calendar and continue advancing competitive cycling in the Yukon on and off-road.

Thank you Hudson for your continued contribution to the sport. We’re excited to have you on board!
